Happy 58th True Parents’ Day and 57th Anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding

Today, all our Unification Families around the world are taking a personal moment of prayer and joyful reflection to celebrate the 58th True Parents’ Day, March 1 by the lunar calendar. In recent years, the formal observances for True Parents’ Day have usually been combined with Heavenly Parent’s Day, as we give thanks to the ones who first gave us love and life itself.

True Parents’ Day was the first holy day established by True Father and True Mother, and it signifies the beginning of the cosmic springtime when the long history of darkness and sorrow could give way to the promise of a new world of light and happiness. Over the next seven years, Father and Mother fought against every obstacle and difficulty until finally they could declare the first Heavenly Parent’s Day (True God’s Day) on January 1, 1968.

It’s important to remember how much value True Parents themselves always placed in these special days. As Father once said:

“No one previously living on earth ever witnessed God’s Day or Parents’ Day … these days are the royal days among all days and the years that they were inaugurated are the royal years among all years, among all the years that ever were.”

The “royal years among all years, among all the years that ever were!” Stirring words indeed. As we give thanks today, let’s also remember and prepare our hearts for the upcoming 57th Anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding, on Wednesday, April 12. True Mother has been reminding us of the immense providential significance of that day, the Marriage of the Lamb declared in the book of Revelation.

Right after our upcoming FAMICON national ministry meeting in Las Vegas, we will be privileged to bring a small delegation to the celebrations in Korea at True Mother’s invitation. It will be Dr. Kim’s first visit to Korea since being appointed International Vice President last week. All our local churches and communities throughout the United States are urged to come together in happy celebration.
